How do I renew my CNA certification in Texas?
Texas requires 24 hours of approved in-service education every two years, including content on geriatric and dementia care. Our online CNA In-Service course covers all 24 hours in six modules. When you pass, your certificate is ready to download right away.
I took a course on the old website. Can I still log in?
Yes. Use the same username and password as before. Your courses, quiz history and certificates were moved to the new site. If you forgot your password, use “Forgot password” on the login page.
How can an employer check my certificate?
Every certificate has a verification code and QR code. Your employer can enter the code on our “Verify a certificate” page to confirm it is genuine.
What's the difference between a certified and a licensed pharmacy technician?
Certification means you passed a national exam from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Licensure is granted by your state pharmacy board and often requires fingerprints, a background check and fees. In states that require licensure, most boards recognize the PTCB credential. Check with your state board before choosing an exam.
What's the difference between a medication aide and a medication technician?
It varies by state, and some states use the terms interchangeably. The key difference is the authority to give medications under supervision, which requires certification. In Texas, Certified Medication Aides give medications in nursing and assisted-living facilities and must renew with 7 hours of in-service education each year.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, for in-person programs. Call us or send a message and we will explain the options. Online courses are paid with PayPal (card accepted) or at the school.
